What is now Brookfield Maze began as a simple but ambitious idea to transform a quiet paddock into something playful, curious, and just a little bit challenging.

In 2010, that vision took shape. The maze was carefully designed and precisely mapped out, with more than a kilometre of winding paths laid through the landscape. Over 1,000 Leighton Green conifer trees were then planted by hand, forming the living walls that continue to grow and evolve each year.

The design wasn’t left to chance. It was created to gently outsmart the usual maze strategies, so if you’re planning to “just keep left” or “follow the right wall,” you may find yourself going in circles.

What began as an idea in an open field has grown into a place for exploration, challenge and family memories and it’s still evolving.
